urban is PLURPLURPLURPLURPLURPLURPLUR out the red carpet for me. paying for my relocation. they are also giving me $500 for clothes and $200 for some toiletries and such.

i have lived in denver before. there is SO much to do... inside and out. and the music scene there is AMAZING. not too competitive. everyone is very open and nice. great clubs.

amazing weather. not too blizzardy in the winter. if you want blizzardy you can drive 30 minutes into the rocky mountains into sweet winter wonderlands.

cost of living isnt bad at all. less than nola.

unemployment level is only 2%. jobs there pay more than most other cities.

4 seasons instead of 2.

I was in San Fran yesterday, wonderful place, definately wouldn't mind living there, except that at night it gets SOOO cold. It felt like 40 degrees outside.
I'm staying in Sacramento for a good bit. That is until i figure out where I want to finish my degree (being that this is my last fucking semester).

I'm going back to new orleans for the next 3-4 years, and I'll live in my office if I have to. However, after I get my degree, I'd like to move someplace west coast but not nightmarishly expensive. Portland, Seattle, San Diego, whatever. Seattle would be the most practical because it has gabe's sister and a pretty badass university where I could try to get a faculty position.

The entire northwest is awesome IMO...living in Portland, you're driving distance from alot of interesting stuff, not to mention the cities around. It's hella chill, liberal, lots of microbrews, stanky dank, and there's actually four seasons year round.

Winter months are pretty wet, but it's really light rain, which makes it tolerable. You do have to adjust to some gloomy sunless weather for long periods, and that could be tough because days are shorter in winter. But summertime makes it all worthwhile.
